This post contains my draft for Assessment 1. This has been the longest and most challenging assessment I have completed so far, and one that pushed me well outside my comfort zone. From learning new concepts to creating and managing a blog for the first time, this task required persistence, reflection and a lot of problem solving. While it was difficult at times, I am proud of what I have produced and of the learning that has come from the process.

KCQ 1 – The Accounting Equation as a Way of Organising Thinking The accounting equation was one of the few concepts in these chapters that made me stop and reread the page more than once. Assets = liabilities + equity is something I have seen before, but I had never really understood it beyond a rule that had to be followed. This time, it felt different.
